How to Remove CookiesAlthough problems viewing our site are often associated with cookies not being enabled, it is sometimes the case that cookies can themselves cause problems. If you have cookies enabled and have problems viewing our site, follow the following steps to remove our cookies and start with "a clean slate" - Open the Control Panel:
- Windows® 98, ME, and 2000 users:
from the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel. - Windows® XP users:
from the Windows taskbar, click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Open the Internet Options dialog box:
- Windows 98, ME, and 2000 users:
double-click Internet Options. - Windows XP users:
click Network and Internet Connections and then click Internet Options.
- Click the General tab.
- Click Settings in the Temporary Internet files section.
- Click View Files.
- While holding down the Control (Ctrl) key on the keyboard, click the following cookies (if present):
- Cookie:@gal.com.au
- Cookie:@www.gal.com.au
- Click OK.
- From the File menu, click Delete.
- When prompted to confirm you want to delete the file, click Yes.
- Close the Temporary Internet Files window.
- In the Settings window, click OK.
- If available, click Apply.
- Click OK.
How to enable cookies:(If you do not know your browser version, select Help -> About... from your tool bar) Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0- On a PC:
- Select Tools -> Internet Options and click on the "Privacy" tab.
- The default selection, "Medium", supports cookies, but you can click on the "Edit" button to override cookie handling for individual websites.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0- On a PC:
- Select Tools -> Internet Options and click on the "Security" tab.
- The default selection, "Medium", supports cookies, but you can click on the "Custom Level" button to check. Scroll down until you see the word "Cookies" and verify that the radio button next to "Enable" is selected in both options.
- On a Mac:
- Select Edit -> Preferences.
- Scroll down until you see "Cookies" under Receiving Files. Make sure that "Never Ask" is selected.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 (and 4.5 Macintosh)- On a PC:
- Select View -> Internet Options and click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Scroll down until you see the word "Cookies" and verify that the circle next to "Always accept cookies" is selected.
- On a Macintosh:
- Select Edit -> Preferences.
- Scroll down until you see "Cookies" under Receiving Files. Make sure that "Never Ask" is selected.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0- Choose View -> Options and click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Make sure that "Warn before accepting a cookie" is unchecked.
Netscape Communicator 4.0- Choose Edit -> Preferences and click on the "Advanced" option.
- Select the radio button next to "Accept all cookies" and click "OK".
Netscape Navigator 3.0- Open "Network Preferences" under Options.
- Click on the "Protocols" tab and ensure that the box next to "Accepting A Cookie" is unchecked.
